There is a lot I could talk about…
I could talk about the widespread extreme poverty that is nearly everywhere.
I could talk about the highly polluted towns people are living in.
I could talk about the innocent children who may miss a meal or suffer from various illnesses.
But I would rather talk about the Hope I have seen here.
When one has no other choice but to rely on God for everything they have, when they can not afford a therapist or a fancy doctor and have to rely solely on God. This is when I have surprisingly seen people most happy.
Families living in shacks and yet the kids do not know of anything better. This is the only life they know and they are happy and content in it. They know not of the multi-million dollar houses that people live in elsewhere. They have their box-spring turned into a bed sleeping area and to them this is how life is for all.
They are happy to praise God and have no ill will for the life they have been placed into.
Everything in their life is harder and takes longer, yet they still find the time to enjoy praising God each day
Meanwhile, In my own past life I have drowned in so much comforts that at times even going to church was seen as a chore. While these people would walk up a literal mountain to get to their own churches.
Jesus is moving in a big way here and I am just a raindrop in his mighty river…
Such a powerful revelation God has revealed to you. Bloom where your planted no matter where that is. Looking forward to reading the new things God will be revealing to you in the following months. Seek out every experience this year. Don’t hold back. You can rest when the race is over. Praying for you and your team!
Blessings
